Showcaller

Follow the running order and timing from a dedicated LAN browser view, with controls governed by the permissions set on the clock PC.

For C⁴ Clock 5.77.199. Requires Pro. Reviewed 31 October 2026.

Open SHOWCALLER

  1. Run C⁴ Clock Pro and click SHOWCALLER in the main status bar.
  2. On another show-LAN device, use the clock PC’s web address and port with the page path /showcall. Use the clock PC’s LAN IP, not localhost on the other device.

The browser page is now called Showcaller. The former /runsheet browser page has been removed; update old bookmarks to /showcall. The native Run Sheet editor is unchanged. This page rename does not rename internal /api/runsheet endpoints.

Keep access on the show LAN; do not expose the clock’s local web server publicly.

Keep the running order and mic assignments current

Review the run sheet and presenter/panelist microphone assignments. Use C⁴ microphone labels to make assignments easy to read; Lectern and Other can be used where appropriate.

Save changes made in the main UI. The companion Audio Operator view polls saved changes each second and defers updates to a focused mic field until the field loses focus, protecting an edit in progress.

PowerPoint source, slide and media information requires a compatible PowerPoint add-in. Missing telemetry is not proof that no media is present or playing.

Transport and jog controls respect permissions

Showcaller transport and jog controls obey the permissions configured in the main C⁴ application. Opening the page does not grant unrestricted show control. If an action is unavailable, have the operator review the main permissions rather than trying to bypass them.

For the main Windows application’s presenter controls in 5.77.199, see the LOAD PREV/NEXT and AUTO LOAD PPT instructions. They explain Pro’s on/off loading modes, independent ARM, Free’s timer-only controls, lower-editor deck links, the remaining SET/RESET path and load-error checks. This describes the clock-PC controls, not a new four-button layout in this browser view.

Receiver setup stays local. Showcaller and Audio LAN viewing do not provide receiver administration. Configure supported Shure receivers using Audio Setup on the clock PC.

Warning wipes, acknowledgement and notification switches

Warning wipes display for 5 seconds. Acknowledging a Showcaller warning affects that page locally; it does not acknowledge the main application or Audio page.

The Audio, Video and Radio mic notification switches default to on. Their selections are saved per browser and origin. A different browser, or a different scheme/host/port, has its own settings.

Turning a category off mutes its page notification display, not the underlying condition. Review history when you need to see what happened while a category was muted.

Use the colour-coded Alert History

Alert History retains muted and acknowledged alerts so you can review them after a warning wipe has gone. This history is local to the browser view, not a shared show-wide acknowledgement log.

Acknowledgements are independent

Do not assume a warning has been cleared everywhere.
Where you acknowledgeEffect
Audio OperatorAffects Audio locally; does not clear Showcaller or main-window warnings.
ShowcallerAffects that page locally; other views keep their own warning state.
Main applicationMain acknowledgement is local until the underlying condition resolves or escalates.
